Like Apple Home, Google Home is a control plane. The plan is to share Rhythm-managed Matter bulbs into Google Home as a second admin, so any Nest speaker on your account can switch them by voice while the LightHub keeps running the circadian schedule.
The idea
A bulb commissioned to Rhythm would also be added to Google Home, so "Hey Google, dim the living room" reaches the same bulb the engine is tuning. Assistant handles power and manual overrides; Rhythm owns the day.
Status
Planned, not shipped. We'll document the pairing flow and what Assistant can and can't do once multi-admin lands.
What to do today
For voice control now, pair the bulbs into Google Home through a hub that already supports it — a Philips Hue bridge, or Home Assistant — and let Rhythm drive them via Hue or Home Assistant.
