Quickstart

Get from box to first scene in about ten minutes.

This page assumes you have a LightHub Zero and at least one compatible bulb. If you don't have hardware yet, see Requirements.

Before you start

  • An iPhone running iOS 17 or later
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi available at the install location
  • A power outlet within reach of the LightHub
Heads up Matter pairing needs your phone and the LightHub on the same network segment. Guest networks and isolated IoT VLANs will block discovery.

1. Install the app

Download Rhythm from the App Store and open it. You'll be asked to grant local network and Bluetooth permissions — both are required to find the hub.

2. Pair the LightHub

Plug in the LightHub. The status light will pulse amber while it's looking for the app. In Rhythm, tap Add device → LightHub and follow the on-screen prompts.

Status light:
pulsing amber → looking for app
solid amber → paired, waiting for bulbs
solid white → online and running scenes

3. Add your bulbs

Once the hub is online, head to Devices → Add bulb and pick the integration that matches what you own. Each integration has its own page in the sidebar with the specific gotchas.

4. Run your first scene

Tap Scenes → Circadian default. This enables the built-in sun-tracking schedule. Within a few seconds your bulbs should shift to match the current time of day.

You're in The LightHub keeps the schedule running locally, even when your phone is asleep or out of the house.
