The Transition tab controls how Day and Sleep change hands — the handoff itself, separate from the schedule times.

Open it

Tap the Transition tab — "How Day and Sleep change hands." It unlocks once your LightBox has synced.

Set the handoff

  • Time — leave transitions following your schedule, or turn the time trigger off.
  • Follow the sun — anchor a transition to a solar event such as Sunrise, Sunset, or Civil Dawn/Dusk, so the house tracks the sky instead of a fixed clock.
  • Transition Duration — set how long the fade between modes takes, or leave it on Auto.

Flip modes by hand

Bind a physical button from your hub — a Hue button, for example. Listen for a press, confirm it, and that button will switch the house between Day and Sleep whenever you want.
