When a Hue Sync Box setup freezes at “press the bridge button,” solve that bridge authorization problem first. Rhythm can help with room behavior after Hue is healthy, but it should not be layered on top of an incomplete Hue setup.
Bridge-link checklist
- Confirm the Sync Box, phone, and Hue Bridge are on the same local network.
- Power-cycle the Hue Bridge and Sync Box.
- Temporarily disable VPNs, guest Wi-Fi, or client isolation on the phone.
- Open the Hue app and verify the bridge can still control existing lights.
Bring it back to Rhythm
After Hue control works normally, connect Hue to Rhythm and keep TV-sync behavior in the Hue Sync path. Let Rhythm handle the room’s normal Day, Sleep, and scene defaults when the TV effect is not active.
