Fix slow Kajplats lights and Bilresa button pairing in Apple Home

When IKEA Matter lights respond slowly and a Bilresa button asks for Thread support, verify the Thread border router and hub path before rebuilding scenes.

A mixed IKEA, Hue, Aqara, and Apple Home setup can expose two separate problems at once: the lights may be reachable but slow, while a button may need Thread infrastructure or a vendor hub path that is not actually present.

Separate the light delay from the button issue

  • Confirm which device is acting as the Matter controller and which device is acting as the Thread border router.
  • Update Apple Home hubs, IKEA firmware, Hue Bridge, and Aqara hub firmware before repeated pairing attempts.
  • Move one Kajplats bulb near the controller and test response time there; if it improves, the issue is likely mesh or signal path.
  • For Bilresa, check whether the exact model requires DIRIGERA, Thread, or a supported vendor flow for button actions.
  • Avoid adding the same button to several ecosystems while troubleshooting; prove one working control path first.

After the devices are reachable

Use Apple Home, DIRIGERA, Hue, or Aqara for the device-specific pairing features they actually support. Then let Rhythm manage the daily lighting state through supported rooms or compatible Matter lights. LightHub can help commission compatible Matter lighting, but it does not replace missing Thread border routers or make unsupported buttons expose actions in every app.
