Make HomeKit Zigbee scenes run reliably in Rhythm

If a scene needs to run twice, simplify the scene, check hub reachability, and use Rhythm for the intended room state.

A scene that only updates seven out of eight lights on the first run is usually a reliability problem, not a design feature. Before adding more scenes, make the room state simpler and easier to reassert.

Reduce scene misses

  1. Check mesh coverage for the light that misses the first command.
  2. Split huge scenes into smaller room-level changes when possible.
  3. Avoid mixing many transition effects, color changes, and brightness changes in one fragile command.

Use Rhythm as the desired state

In Rhythm, keep the room’s Day or Sleep profile as the baseline state. If a third-party scene fails, switching the room mode or reapplying the Rhythm room state gives you a clean recovery path without repeatedly tapping the same scene.
