Matter setup codes are easy to lose because some lights print them on a box insert instead of the device. Before mounting a ceiling light, closing a fixture, or recycling packaging, save the code somewhere private and searchable.
Create a light inventory
- Photograph the Matter QR code and manual code.
- Record the room, fixture, model, and where the bulb or lamp is installed.
- Store the record in your password manager, Home Assistant notes, or another local inventory.
Use it with Rhythm
When you add a compatible Matter light through Rhythm LightHub, scan the saved code or enter the manual setup code. If the light ever needs a reset or a new controller, the saved code keeps the recovery path simple.
